Brighton Old Steine Stop T

## What’s the Brighton Old Steine Stop T? The Brighton Old Steine stop T is a tram stop currently under construction in Alfred Street, Brighton. It is planned to form part of the Brighton tram system. The Old Steine is named after a street in southern Brighton, and translates to ‘stones’ in German. The stop T is one of ten located on the second phase of the Brighton tram project, stretching from the city centre to the western terminus, and will be the terminus of the line. The Brighton Old Steine T stop T is planned to be a low-floor, accessible stop, with step-free access from the street to the platform. It will be served by the new fleet of Voith Translohr STE3 low-floor trams. The Brighton Old Steine T stop T is expected to open in 2023. Once complete, it will provide a direct tram link between the city centre and the western suburbs of Brighton.
